TIM BROOKS - 'ANGELIQUE'
The start of 2019 has been very busy for Tim as he's now finished part one of his tour in the UK and will be going to Europe for the second leg. Alongside playing, he's been working hard planning releases for this year with his next single, Angelique being released this Friday and will be available on all digital platforms.
Angelique is the new single, and first piece of new original music from London singer songwriter Tim Brooks.
Marking somewhat of a departure from his earlier "rock singer songwriter" material of his previous EP, Angelique features clean and choppy Telecaster cuts, wrapped up with warm Hammond tones. The track has Tim Brooks giving his best, and most high ranging vocal performance to date, with his raspy croon echoing the likes of Chris Cornell and Kelly Jones.
The song has Brooks' familiar attention to lyrical detail, with the subject matter being the state of play in the music in 2019 from an artist's perspective. Angelique is the music, the temptress, she holds thousands of keys, but is oft caught chasing "algorithms, equations and proofs"
Angelique is the first of 5 singles to be released in a busy year for the emerging songwriter, with several "stripped down" videos, live sessions, and tours in countries such as Belgium, Holland, Slovenia and Ireland already planned for 2019.
